SiPhox is miniaturizing medical diagnostics using silicon photonic chips. They are developing a small, easy to use COVID-19 saliva test that can provide a diagnostic result at home in 10 minutes. This test can be scaled to a billion tests (cheap chips) per week, using low-power integrated circuits. In the context of several waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, a multi-cartridge testing device will enable more recurrent and safe home testing.
